Pragmatica Slabserif was designed as a complement to the popular Pragmatica type family by Vladimir Yefimov and Isabella Chaeva (1989-2004) by addition of square serifs. The first sketches of Pragmatica Slabserif were created by Vladimir Yefimov in 1988 during the development of Pragmatica. Olga Umpeleva designed the whole slabserif type family of six weights basing on these sketches. All the styles of Pragmatica Slabserif match the corresponding Pragmatica styles in metrics, proportions, weights and design. The two families may be used combined and separately. Pragmatica Slabserif is convenient for technical texts, for magazines of general nature, for business applications as well as for advertising and display settings. Pragmatica Slabserif was released by ParaType in 2011.
