Font Classification:
The typeface was designed at ParaType (ParaGraph) for Russian primary school sample writing schoolbooks in 1997 by Manvel Shmavonyan. Propisi is based on the script fonts presented in the book "Rodnoy Mir" by. L.I.Tikunova. The first version of the font included letters of Russian alphabet and a basic set of figures and signs. The second version with the extended set of alphabetic letterforms was developed in 2004 by Gennady Fridman. The third version that covers full Cyrillic and Western code pages was prepared by Gennady Fridman and released in 2009. Medium style was also added in 2009.
